Consignment Policies
Consigning at New To You is as easy as walking through the door and filling out a form. Of course you do have to clean your closet out and drag the stuff along with you!
Items may not be dropped off the first 10 days of any month or the months of March and September without prior approval from Amy.
Only 2 kitchen trash bags per drop off, no huge black trash bags will be taken.
Boxes, totes or other things used to carry in household items will not be returned, again, 13-gallon kitchen bags are our favorite!
Here are the basics:
- Items must be odor free
- Clothing must be in season and up to date
- Clothing must be free of snags, rips, stains, zippers must be working and buttons must be attached
- Household items must be in like new condition
- Shoes must have lots of wear left in them
- Undergarments must be new in package, with the exception of bras which must be like new
Items I don’t take:
- Old appliances
- Clothing from the 80’s and 90’s
- Items smelling of cigarette smoke
- Books with ripped covers
- Typewriters
- Children’s toys without batteries (any electronic item MUST have batteries to prove they work)
- Car Seats, Cribs, Baby Seats over 5 years old
If you have any doubt, call ahead first. New To You reserves the right to refuse any item we deem unmarketable or unsafe.
